MILAN - The Inter jersey is the physical embodiment of the sense of belonging Nerazzurri fans feel when they think about their club.
And thanks to Inter’s collaboration with Logistics Proud Partner DB Schenker, Inter Campus has been able to ensure that the famous black and blue jersey has continued to reach children in its sites all over the world, breaking down geographical barriers and giving the participants the thrill of feeling part of the wider Inter family.
“Everybody at the company puts so much passion and pride into this project,” said Vincenzo Mandelli, DB Schenker’s Vice President Air Freight Italy. “Our work with Inter Campus every year means we win the Scudetto of solidarity – a prize even greater than the real Scudetto title! For us, to quote the name of the last Inter Campus documentary, the world is a football.”
“As an Inter fan, I’d never have imagined I could experience the thrill of winning such a well-deserved title at the end of such a difficult season,” said Giuseppe Rotondi, Air Freight Export Manager. “I’m not embarrassed to say that I celebrated like a child – like the 13-year-old boy who celebrated the title win of that young Inter side of Lele Oriali and Alessandro Altobelli, with the Inter colours painted on his chest.
“The biggest triumph, though, is the satisfaction of ensuring that so many children have been able to have fun playing football and wearing the Inter jersey, especially amid all the problems caused by the pandemic. Despite the low number of flights available and the various lockdowns that had such a significant impact on some of the countries in the programme, we were always able to meet requests. Every successful delivery was like winning the derby – for the kids!
